COURSE SUMMARY

Purpose and Rationale of the Qualification

The purpose of this qualification is to prepare learners to function as Security First Line Managers, leading and coordinating security team member activities to ensure safety and security compliance.

The qualification addresses the need for registered occupational qualifications for security personnel wishing to advance their careers as Security First Line Managers. The qualification aims to improve society's confidence in security provision, increase employment levels, and enhance security services.​

Learning Assumed to Be in Place

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available for accessing assessments, where accredited providers confirm prior learning through statements or work experience records 

Learners who gain access to the qualification through RPL will be credited for modules completed through RPL.

Entry requirements include an NQF Level 3 qualification
